CITY HALL
Government
The City of Vanceburg, is governed by a seven member Council (Mayor and six council). The Mayor is elected to serve a four-year term and each Council member is elected to serve a two-year term. The Mayor and Council members are the leaders and policy makers in the community elected to represent various segments of the community and to concentrate on policy issues that are responsive to residents' needs and wishes.
City Council
The City Council meets on the first Monday of every month in a regular session at 5:30 p.m. in the City Hall Building at 615 Second Street.
City Clerk
The City Clerk is responsible for the overall collection and disbursement of funds including maintaining all the financial and public records. Public records and minutes of the City Council are also maintainted by the City Clerk.
